Amelia is a photo researcher, grant writer, and project manager based in Los Angeles. She has fifteen years of experience working with photographers, arts and cultural institutions, and illustrated book publishers. As an independent consultant, she has worked with Google, Magnum Photos, Aperture Foundation, Research Agency, and Long Lead, among others. From 2011-20 Amelia held roles as Editor, Executive Managing Editor, and Associate Publisher at Aperture Foundation in New York.
Her experience in photography book publishing ranges from gallery and museum partnerships, compilations and anthologies, to surveys and artist monographs.
At Aperture, she led fundraising campaigns, patron trips, and represented the nonprofit at art fairs and portfolio reviews worldwide.
Amelia studied US History, Art History, and Fine Art at Lewis & Clark College. In 2017, she earned an Executive Certificate in International Arts Leadership—a joint program accredited by New York University, the University of Deusto, and the Guggenheim, Bilbao.
